Why AC maintenance matters in Arizona

Cooling season here is long, and systems run for hours on summer afternoons. That puts sustained load on capacitors, contactors and motors — parts that often show wear before they fail outright.

The outdoor condenser collects dust and monsoon debris, and a dirty coil can't release heat well. Indoors, a loaded filter restricts airflow, and a slow drain line can back up into the pan. Maintenance can help identify developing issues like these before they become larger problems — it won't prevent every breakdown, but it gives you a clear picture of the system going into summer.

Signs your AC should be checked

  • Weaker airflow than usual
  • Longer run times
  • New or unusual noises
  • Uneven temperatures between rooms
  • Thermostat acting up
  • Water near the indoor equipment
  • Outdoor unit caked in dust
  • No inspection in a while

If the system isn't cooling or has stopped, skip the tune-up and book AC repair with an $89 diagnostic instead.
