Two visits, timed to the seasons
Timing matters more than frequency. These are the two windows where a tune-up actually changes the outcome.
Spring cooling visit
March – April
The full cooling workup before the first 100° day: coil cleaning, charge verification against manufacturer targets, drain flush, capacitor load test and airflow readings. This is the visit that prevents the August 8pm phone call.
Fall heating visit
October – November
Combustion and carbon monoxide safety checks on gas equipment, ignitor and flame sensor testing, heat-strip and defrost verification on heat pumps, and thermostat calibration for the season change.
What a real tune-up includes
A $39 "tune-up" from a coupon is a filter swap and a sales pitch. Here's the actual checklist our techs work through, and you get the readings in writing afterward.
- Measure refrigerant charge against manufacturer superheat/subcool targets
- Rinse the outdoor condenser coil and clear debris from the cabinet
- Inspect and clean the evaporator coil where accessible
- Flush the condensate drain line and treat the pan
- Test capacitors and contactors under load, not just visually
- Check amp draw on compressor, condenser fan and blower motor
- Tighten every electrical connection in the disconnect and control board
- Measure supply and return temperature split
- Read static pressure to catch duct and filter restrictions
- Inspect the blower wheel for dust loading
- Verify thermostat calibration and staging
- Heating safety check, including the heat exchanger on furnaces (fall visit)
- Test heat strips and defrost cycle on heat pumps (fall visit)
- Photograph findings and leave a written report

- Is a maintenance plan actually worth it in Arizona?
- Here, more than most places. A Valley system runs 2,000+ hours a summer — roughly double a mild climate. Dirty coils and a low charge cost 15–25% in efficiency long before anything breaks, and capacitors almost never fail in April; they fail at 114°.
- What's the difference between a tune-up and a service call?
- A service call fixes something that's already broken. A tune-up measures the whole system against spec — charge, airflow, amp draw, static pressure — and catches the parts that are drifting out of range before they strand you.
- When should the visits happen?
- Cooling in March or April, before the first stretch of 100° days. Heating in October or November. We schedule them for you and text a reminder, so nothing slips.
- Do I have to be home?
- For the outdoor portion, no. For coil, drain, filter and thermostat work we need indoor access, so most members schedule a time when someone's there.
- What does Revival Club include?
- Two maintenance visits per year for each covered HVAC system (a spring cooling visit and a fall heating visit), 10% off repairs, 10% off system replacements, priority scheduling, a basic outdoor condenser coil rinse where appropriate, automatic scheduling reminders, and a digital inspection report with photos and readings after every visit.
- Does Revival Club cover repairs or parts?
- Revival Club includes your two maintenance visits, priority scheduling and member discounts. Repairs and parts are not included. If additional work is recommended, we'll explain the repair and price before work proceeds, and members receive 10% off eligible repairs.
- What is Filter Replacement?
- For $10/month per covered filter, Revival Air supplies the filters and replaces them four times per year — during both maintenance visits and during two additional filter-only visits.
- What if I supply my own filter?
- We'll change your customer-supplied filter during each scheduled Revival Club maintenance visit at no additional charge.
- Can I add more HVAC systems?
- Yes. Each additional HVAC system is $10/month and receives the same two maintenance visits per year.
- How long is the membership?
- Revival Club is billed monthly in 12-month membership terms and renews automatically. You enroll with Revival Air by phone or during a visit and sign digitally.
- Do you offer commercial maintenance?
- Revival Club covers residential equipment. Commercial maintenance agreements are quoted separately.
