How it goes
1. Safety first
Combustion and CO checks come before anything else on a gas system.
2. Component test
Ignitor, flame sensor, gas valve, inducer and limit switches get tested against spec, not eyeballed.
3. Quote
Flat price on the repair before we start, with the option to defer non-urgent items.
4. Verify
Temperature rise and gas pressure get measured after the repair and recorded on your invoice.
Heating Service questions
- Why does my heat smell burnt the first time each year?
- Dust settling on the heat exchanger all summer burns off. If it lasts more than 30 minutes or smells electrical, shut it down and call.
- Is a heat pump enough for Arizona winters?
- In the Valley, almost always. We check the auxiliary heat strips so the backup is there on the handful of cold mornings.
- How often should a gas furnace be inspected?
- Once a year, ideally in the fall. The CO safety check is the reason, not the tune-up.
